SAP to help Hyderabad SMEs in GST compliance

Hyderabad: SAP SE launched its ‘GST in a box’, an all-inclusive solution portfolio designed to help organisations of all sizes in Hyderabad to become tax compliant and tax efficient in the GST era. The company also conducted a ‘GST Health Check Drive’ in the city to evaluate and educate organisations that are preparing for their transition to the GST regime. Supported by SAP’s partner intelligence, the roadshow provided local enterprises a free ‘GST Health Check’ to help them understand their GST compliance level and help build a readiness plan.

SAP, as an application service provider (ASP) for GST, has been reaching out to and providing technology expertise to businesses and the ecosystem preparing for this shift. Through various initiatives such as the launch of online resource centre, industry events and webinars, white paper, industry work groups and consulting notes since 2014, SAP has committed to provide businesses with the necessary consultation and technology to efficiently adopt the GST regime.

“With the impending implementation of GST this year, it is necessary for businesses to measure their preparedness level as well as define a detailed roadmap of their GST adoption journey,” said Neeraj Athalye, head, S/4HANA & GST Adoption Drive, SAP India. “Companies will require a strong technology backbone to sustain and succeed in the GST regime. Through our initiatives, we are committed to make SMEs in Hyderabad GST ready and also ensure that businesses reap benefits from the digital infrastructure.”
